There's many sites out there to help bassits of today develop... Got one? Post it here!

Obviously there's the DMan himselfs:

PlayBassNow.com: A library of over 250 original licks with slow versions for learning
http://playbassnow.com

Talk Bass: Large & very active bass community, talking about anything & everything. Great for picking up tips, getting answers to questions Smile

http://www.talkbass.com

In particular, this post has the major links & a lot more Smile

Free Jam Tracks: Backing tracks of various styles without bass, for you to make up your own basslines to Smile

http://www.freejamtracks.com/

Study Bass: Site with a lot of theory on everything from beginners basics to intermediate. Contains exercises & several useful online tools Smile

http://www.studybass.com/

Slappyto: Video lessons with tab on how to play various songs, including slow versions. I found this VERY helpful in learning & developing!

http://www.professorstring.com/ - I learnt a lot about strings there - check out their FAQ! http://www.professorstring.com/string_FAQs.htm

http://www.youplayalong.com/ - For all your playalongs & lessons, a growing community for videos that you can watch to aid learning songs & discover new songs to learn!

http://bopland.org - Various Jazz/Bebop scales & runs, but being able to read music is a requirement - there's no tabs. A great resource if you wish to learn how to read / practise reading, as there's no TAB to cheat on!

http://www.activebass.com/ Lots of bass lessons, I've used this site on a few occasions in the past. You can even play alone to a backing track.
